Get Involved
SSC is an all-volunteer company that aims to produce professional-quality productions of Shakespeare’s works. By being made up of volunteers, we are able to allow people of all nationalities to participate freely in the creation of theatre. At the same time, we aim to put on productions that are professional in quality, so that we are worth the time and effort of people who are serious about a future career in the theatre. Some of our past company members are now pursuing a professional career in theatre in other countries, and one of our core purposes is to provide an opportunity for English-speaking theatre people living in Korea to continue to develop their craft, while also contributing positively to Korean society.
Have a particular skill, or just want to get involved with us?
Actors: We hold annual open auditions for our spring mainstage shows around late November to early December, and all are welcome to audition. When auditions are approaching, we make announcements on this page, our Facebook page, and our email list. At other times of the year, we sometimes offer workshops such as our "Shakesperiments" workshops. We announce upcoming workshops on our home page, Facebook page, and email list.

If you are inexperienced in theatre but well-organized, punctual, a good communicator, and passionate about involvement in theatre, being an assistant stage manager (ASM) is a good way to start. Email us at info@seoulshakespeare.com to let us know your interest.
